You all know mine and my families studies were with kerosine lamp for several years of my life…
when the first electric pole was installed I can’t explain how Happy we were..and from then on wherever polls were installed our children group followed them…
for us the pieces of aluminum wires were precious as each of us I mean my friends and I were picking up those pieces and keeping them very precious item..
so in pur village wherever these iron pillars were posted we were there.
After few months there were street lights in selected places..including our place…can you imagine how the villagers might have celebrated….
After a month or so those rich people who were able to afford had applied for house connections…
Our next target was to find out the house where the electrical connections are made..as I said the connections were with rich people…we spent whole day.may be that time summer holidays..watching each and every connection starting with switch boards to bulb fitting… I should tell that those families who got electric connection looks proud..
In our colony..if I remember right..I was sitting few days in Sanjivrao mamayya house as they took connection..who are our neighbours..
it was wonderful experience the present generating can never experience….I will tell in my next post about my studies under street lights..
