Immediately after Tsunami I joined Save the Children UK as Finance and Grants Officer in Sri Lanka in 2005….I was posted in Matara the southern province in Sri Lanka….Like southern province other parts of Sri Lanka like Trincomalai,Batticolai,Ampara, were most affected..in south Galle,Hiikaduwa,Matara and some stress o Ambantota were affected…Pascale Benchayat (she is a Frech National)was in charge of Matara initially and I was in charge of finance,grants etc…after few months she left and I was in charge of souther region as District Manager..which is a position of Regional manager for Southern Province of sri lanka..then I took over that responsibility..we used to support many ngos there…one ngo in Matara received funding for a school building..I attended the same…the children were very happy…there are many events..I will post in a series..
