Two pieces of Two Rupee note in Ahmedabad
While working for Oxfam I had to attend a workshop in Ahmedabad…To reach Ahmedabad I had to take a flight from Kolkata to Mumbai and from there another flight to Ahmedabad…reached late night… my flight to Ahmedabad was cancelled..hence I had to take next morning flight..the airlines arranged accommodation in a hotel to all passengers..it was not a five star hotel but we had to spend that night somewhere..
The,airline arranged a bus to airport to take passengers back to airport..Reached Ahmedabad before the meeting started..
During that period availability of smaller notes and coins was very difficult and there was scarcity of notes…
I went to buy a coffee and a cake..and I gave them 10 rupees note…they returned the balance and while counting I found a two rupee note half piece..I surprised to see that and asked them..I was told that you were lucky you got half piece at least..some even get 1/4th of torn pieces…I shared the same with colleagues there. They laughed and here the situation is like this…
