Exploring Tea Leaves Processing at Munnar
Tea Leaves Processing at Munnar: During our visit to Munnar, we could manage to see and explore various view points around Munnar which were mentioned in our travel plans in the tour package. All through the way, one will find tea gardens everywhere which looks so beautiful and greenery. The tea gardens are mesmerising to eyes. While coming back our driver took us to a tea museum where apart from the pictures of tea gardens, processing and machinery can be seen.
As we approached the tea processing unit, we noticed the lush green tree plantations surrounding the area. These plantations are worth visiting. At tea processing unit once we were explained the process, we came out where there is photo processing unit, here if anyone is interested to take photographs they will take you to the tea plantation adjacent, and take photos there. Here one can chose various photo frames at price made from different materials, including stone and cardboard, allowing visitors to preserve their memories in a unique way.
Inside the processing unit other visitors are also joined us. The staff there showed us the step by step process of tea making and how the green tea leaves are made dry and how the tea dust is processed. In this also different sizes of tea leaves could be processed.
Although we had previously visited a larger tea processing unit in Ooty, this visit to the museum served as a refreshing reminder of the intricate tea-making process. After the demonstration, the museum staff offered to show us a video presentation, providing further insights into the tea industry.
After our enlightening visit to the tea museum and tea processing unit, we headed to Munnar town for a late lunch, as we continued our journey through this captivating destination.
