Ancient City Kochi- This time we planned to visit south of India and chose Kerala. Since we had limited time we had to squeeze the programme hence we had taken tour package. We reached Kochi by air around 11.30 in the morning and our vehicle from the travel agency was waiting at the airport. The Kochi airport looks beautiful with traditional touch and feel. it was about 28 kms from airport to our hotel. We had lunch on the way and reached hotel and took some rest and then we moved to go around on our hired vehicle.
Our driver Binoy who is nice person and speaks Hindi well, took us around Kochi some places like Kochi Museum, Fort, palace, then chinese fishing area, Lulu mal etc. Like many other cities in India, the traffic was very heavy particularly in the evening hours.
In Kochi we went to see the Ancient City Kochi museum, since it was in the afternoon, there was traffic jams, everywhere. However whatever we could manage to see we saw. The first one was the Kochi Museum where you have beautiful ancient sculptures, paintings of kings, pictures of people of ancient times and we were impressed with the architecture. Its big museum, we have to go to three floors.
We also visited Chinese fishing nets which is an interesting feature to see. Also we went around to see some forts, churches, and in the evening we went to see the large Lulu Mal which was in a very large spacious area with so many floors. Had dinner there before coming back to our hotel.
Next day morning we started our journey from Kochi to Munnar.
