London bridge is falling down..falling down…we see in nursery rhymes and every child is taught this rhyme…we only seen the bridge in rhymes book…even when I was child I never heard this rhyme…but over a period when the play schools,pre-nursery schools,LKG,UKG started..these nursery rhymes have become very popular..
in continuation to my UK visit I had the opportunity of going around London on Red bus…I tried to go whatever possible to see as I had time constraint. My next place to see is London Bridge..it’s very big bridge looks like the bridge is swinging..that’s the reason the rhyme came out ‘London bridge is falling down..falling down..’

As per Wikipedia…Lodon Bridge is an active, functional crossing over the River Thames connecting the City of London with Southwark. While the name has been used for various bridges spanning over 2,000 years, the current Brutalist-style concrete structure was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1973.
original wooden structure was built by the Romans in AD 50, which laid the foundation for the city of London. It evolved into the iconic medieval stone bridge, famously known from the “London Bridge is Falling Down” nursery rhyme, which was lined with houses and shops for over 600 years.
