In continuation of my previous posts, I am slowly slowly mixing with the team members and within few days i felt as if was in the organisation for years…My colleagues were so friendly, made me feel their family. At lunch break we used to share our food, and every occasion we used to celebrate together. And we used to visit families and have get togethers. So many people to remember and made me feel comfortable – of course Jessi, then RC, Prasanjit (backbone of finance), Bhaskaran my boss Finance and Admin Director, Sumon – Director of the State Office – now come to the programme team – Chula (de Souza from Sri Lanka) the Head of Programme Team, Maheswari (Mahi) Sreekar, Rajesh (Diwakaran – later met again in Bangladesh) Shravan (Shravi) and the most important person – the support staff – if i remember correctly Ellayya(?) …….
Days passed by.. since most colleagues have families they used leave on time, i used to stay late alongwith Prasenjit whose work i found never ends, so i used to stay with him.
Since most of the works that we do involve awareness programmes, we used to have a number of training programmes for the ngos that we supported and the workers, volunteers, team leaders etc. so i used to interact with the project partners and other workers – slowly slowly i adjusted to the environment and the organisation.
