Since we had gone on an assignment to work for the relief and rehabilitation of Rohingyas who migrated to Bangladesh in large numbers. Though i visted Bangladesh earlier just for a meetig or workshop speding few days, this time this was an assignment of longer period. Since some Indians were working in the organisation where i was posted, withing a short period of time, i could adjust with other indian friends and colleagues.
Sometimes on weekends we used to go around and spend sometime in the beaches. Osksne weekend i alongwith four of my friends decided to spend some time at Himchori near the sea and have lunch andgo around. It was my birth day that and I did not tell any of them. While going frieds and family were calling to wish me. One of them asked, Suresh is there any special occassion today and I had to tell that it was my birth day. Immediately all of them wished me and they Cox’s Bazar which is 10-15 kms away. After an hour or so the driver brought a big and lovely cake from Ocean Paradise, a popular hotel in Coxs Bazar.
I cut the cake and all my friends – Alosyus,Rahul,Vivek,Jalil were there. It was a wonderful day i can never forget in my life of the precious moment with friends away in another country.
